Robert’s current, primary occupation is Director of Forestry and Wildlife for a large property in east Texas. Previously he was employed as Wildlife Biologist and Manager of a south Texas hunting and guest ranch. Robert brings over 20 years of experience in wildlife and hunting operation management. Robert’s management has resulted in the Lone Star Land Steward Award, the Leopold Conservation Award from Sand County Foundation, multiple regional and statewide recognitions for whitetails through the Texas Big Game Awards program, and mention as finalist for a Texas Wildlife Association Quail Stewardship Award.
Robert has experience in implementing innovative solutions to complex habitat management for a variety of game and non-game species in Texas. He achieves these solutions through prescribed burning, brush sculpting, and fallow discing when and where it is called for on a piece of property. His passions are bowhunting, training labradors, and physical fitness.
Robert holds a BS degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in Forest Wildlife Management, is a Texas Big Game Awards Scorer, and maintains a Private Applicator License from the Texas Department of Agriculture.
